Rod Cook
Rod Cook has been creating and producing photographs for over forty years. The images on this page mostly represent his efforts for the last eighteen or so, though if truth be told, some have their origin almost in the beginning of his career only to be re-purposed in these later iterations.
Rod generally works on projects quite often inspired by spontaneous experimentation, so he hopes you will forgive the occasional venture into other mediums. When he was younger, he was in love with the idea of being a photographer. Today he just wants to create images. Perhaps a subtle differentiation but one, he thinks, significant
Rod's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibits including Jack Leigh Gallery, Savannah, GA, Photosensualis Gallery, Woodstock, NY,
2 Haviland Street Gallery, Norwalk, CT, Hunter Fox Gallery, New York, NY, Bassetti Fine Photographs, New Orleans, LA, Joel Soroka Gallery, Aspen, CO, Gail Severn Gallery, Ketchum, ID, Houston Center for Photography, Houston, TX and Stephen Daiter Gallery, Chicago, IL. His work is in numerous private and public collections notably Graham Nash Collection, University of Chicago and the Cherye R. and James F. Pierce Collection.
