Amy Browning

Amy Browning has painted for over thirty-five years. Her chosen mediums are acrylic paint, oil stick, charcoal, graphite and, recently, pastel. Landscape and still life are enduring references. The artist's recent work concerns itself with representing the atmosphere existing between artist and tangible object, viewer and painted representation; objects are dissolving and returning to the chaos from which they arose.

Browning received a BA from the University of Toronto. Her arts education continued with seminars and workshops at Yale, Silvermine Arts Center and Vermont Studio School.

Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibits including  New Canaan Society for the Arts, New Canaan, CT, New Canaan Library, New Canaan, CT, Wilton Art Gallery, Wilton, CT and Galerie du Soleil, Norwalk, CT. Her work is in many private collections in the United States, Mexico, France, Canada including The Whitney Center, Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and Watson Wyatt Worldwide.
