Two solo shows: Allegories of the Heart and Mind by William Butcher and GROW UP! by Sven Martson
Kehler Liddell Gallery presents two solo shows: Allegories of the Heart and Mind by William Butcher and GROW UP! by Sven Martson at KLG from October 13- November 12, 2022. An Opening Reception is planned for Sunday, October 16, 3:00-5:00pm with an Artist Talk starting at 4:00pm, sponsored by ArtEcon Initiative.
William Butcher explores the line between the physical, mysterious, illusive and often spiritual nature of human life. The drawn, painted and arranged figures and forms in this work blur the lines of negative/positive space and reality, concluding perhaps that all things exist integrally.

Butcher is a graduate of the Drake University School of Fine Art where he earned BFA and MFA degrees in painting and studied with internationally recognized artists.William went on to teach visual art including drawing, painting, sculpture and architecture at Suffield Academy in Suffield Ct. where he chaired the Visual Art Department for nearly forty years and served as a technical director for school productions.
