Gar Waterman
Sculptor Gar Waterman is a native of New England who lives and works in New Haven, Connecticut. Natural forms abound in his sculpture that explores the organic and inorganic architecture of our surroundings. He works in stone, wood, bronze, and steel, producing carefully crafted and frequently beautiful objects that reflect his fascination with evolution’s exquisite sense of design.
Waterman is a self-taught artist. He did receive a BA in French from Dartmouth College but his interests led him into a career as a sculptor. His work is a testament to his inherent sensibility, his skill as a fine craftsman and his vision as an artist.
